About Me
Beyond the Lens
Hi, I’m Lisa—a storyteller, a dreamer, and someone who finds joy in life’s quiet, authentic moments. While my weekdays might be spent in the construction industry, my true passion lies in photography, a journey of connection, creativity, and self-discovery. Since moving to Australia from Germany in 2015, I’ve found a deep connection to nature and the simple joys of life that inspire my work. As a mother of two and a dog lover, my family is my world, grounding me and filling my life with purpose and joy.
I’ve always been drawn to moments of stillness and reflection—moments that remind us to slow down, savor the little things, and stay present. Photography became my spark—a way to capture the raw, imperfect beauty of life and the stories that bind us together. It’s not just a job; it’s my heart project, a reflection of who I am and what I value.
Green Mountain Photography: The Journey
Green Mountain Photography started in 2023, born from a place of growth—mindset, body, and spirit.
It was a pivot, a leap of faith to try something I had always wanted to do.
I chose to be brave and bold, stepping into the unknown without knowing where it might lead.
The name itself is a nod to my German heritage, a translation of my maiden name, and a reminder of where I come from.
When I began, I started small.
I tried everything—family sessions, maternity, babies, events, birthdays, weddings, dressage competitions, pets, horses, marketing and branding sessions, Airbnbs, headshots… you name it, I tried it!
It was a period of curiosity and discovery, where I explored what truly set my heart alight.
What I’ve found is that I love capturing love. Micro weddings, elopements, couples—these unique love stories are what inspire me most. As an introvert, large crowds can feel overwhelming, and I often find myself losing my words. But in those smaller, more intimate settings, I thrive.
I can focus on the connection, the quiet moments, the essence of two people who have chosen each other.
That being said, if one of my couples calls me years later for updated photos with their new baby, I’ll never say no. For me, it’s about the connections we build and the friendships that grow from that.
My Why
My "why" is rooted in freedom and abundance. It’s about more than creating beautiful images—it’s about creating a life that nourishes my creative spirit and aligns with my core values of kindness, authenticity, happiness, and freedom. Photography allows me to connect with others, share their unique stories, and celebrate the moments in between that light my soul on fire. Green Mountain Photography was born from this passion, a dream that grew so naturally and instinctively that I had to follow it.
Every click of the shutter is a step outside my comfort zone, a reminder to embrace life with curiosity and courage. I dream of what’s next for GMP, of new ideas, new places, and new stories. But through it all, my "why" remains the same: to preserve the fleeting, beautiful essence of love and connection, and to do so with kindness and authenticity at every step.
My Philosophy
Capturing Light, Feeling, and Moments
Photography, for me, is an art of presence. It’s about preserving the magic of a moment exactly as it feels—raw, unfiltered, and real. I embrace authenticity in my work, steering away from over-editing or perfectionism, because the imperfections are what make life beautiful.
My style is candid, playful, and soulful, with a touch of grainy, moody character that adds depth and emotion to every frame. I believe the most powerful images are the ones that tell a story, that evoke a feeling, and that allow the viewer to step back into that moment. Whether it’s a quiet glance, an uncontrollable laugh, or a tender embrace, my goal is to honor those in-between moments that truly capture the essence of who we are.
What I Value
- Connection: Building genuine relationships with my clients is at the heart of what I do. I want you to feel seen, understood, and celebrated.
- Authenticity: Life is messy, imperfect, and beautiful. I strive to capture moments as they truly are, with sincerity and heart.
- Kindness: In every interaction, I aim to lead with empathy, care, and an open heart.
- Freedom: Photography is my way of breaking free from the mundane and stepping into a world of creativity and possibility.
- Happiness: Above all, I want my work to bring joy—to you, to me, and to everyone who sees your story come to life.
